Even if it has a hardtop there should a be a soft top underneath. I would still keep the hardtop for the future though. You can have both at the same time just gotta have the soft top folded with the hardtop on.

well, either the top isn't sitting right, or you need to do some adjustment. Those chromed bars which hold your soft top rubber can be loosened up and moved closer towards the outside of the car. Also, if it's an NA and the window guides are broken, the window might not be rolling up to it's proper place.
